Ride on Owen!

For Owen and his family, something as simple as riding a bike together had become increasingly difficult. After outgrowing the adaptive bike he had previously used, finding a suitable replacement wasn’t easy. Standard bikes with balance aids weren’t a practical option for someone of Owen’s height and build, meaning he could no longer enjoy riding alongside his brothers or participate in outdoor cycling activities with confidence.

Working closely with Owen and his family, our team modified a bicycle to include heavy-duty stabilisers that met his individual needs. The customised solution enabled Owen to ride safely again, whether exploring his neighbourhood or cycling alongside other children during family holidays at caravan parks.

It has become an important part of Owen’s weekends and school holidays. It has given the whole family the opportunity to enjoy bike rides together, creating shared experiences, encouraging outdoor activity, and helping Owen feel included in an activity he loves.

Reflecting on their experience with TADQ, Mum Shared: “They were very professional and nothing was too much trouble. They travelled to us to complete measurements and trials, which made everything much easier around my work commitments, and this helped Owen feel more relaxed in a familiar environment. Every child who doesn’t fit the generic bike mould should have access to TADQ. Thank you, Carley and Lincoln, for making Owen feel comfortable.” – 14.07.2026

Thank you to Owen and his family for allowing us to be part of Owen’s journey. We wish them many happy rides together!
