Helping Michael Walk Safely Again

Michael came to us with a challenge that was significantly affecting his lifestyle. After experiencing cerebral ischemia (a stroke), he was left with limited movement in his left arm and relied on a walking stick to get around. However, the walking stick often left him feeling unsteady and fearful of falling, making it increasingly difficult for him to leave home.

Commercially available walkers were not suitable either, as he could not safely steer them using only his right arm.

Michael came to TADQ hoping for a safer, more reliable way to move around and rest when needed. Working closely with him, our Brisbane team and one of our dedicated volunteers designed and built a custom mobility solution tailored specifically to his needs.

When the device was delivered, Michael was able to walk back into his garden and spend time listening to the birds again — a simple pleasure he had deeply missed.
