Walker gets a makeover

We had a frustrated Mum approach us regarding her daughter’s walker, which was too narrow. Her daughter has transverse myelitis (inflammation of the spinal cord) and uses a wheelchair for all mobility. Her physiotherapist had recommended using her forearm support walker short distances with support for lower limb strengthening, however the walker was too narrow to fit around her wheelchair, making safe transfers difficult. The physio had recommended a 66cm wide walker, which they were struggling to source. So the Mum was delighted when she called TADQ and our amazing Alan from our Workshop was able to widen the frame of the walker to her daughter’s exact needs!  Which will make a big difference for her safety with mobility and transfers. Beautiful work, Alan!
